Here is our master bedroom ready for an update. Currently, it features brown painted (not stained) closet doors, hunter green rough-hewen storefront window trim, brown stained casings & baseboard, white carpet, and pale yellow walls. (Also a stomped ceiling and badly painted fan… but we’re not changing those right now.)
We had already pulled up some carpet because the hardwood floor came into this room from the foyer (due to it being on a diagonal). For scale, that’s a king size head board. You can also see the impressions in the carpet from the previous owner’s furniture.
Apparently there was some water damage at one point in this corner. I think the window above had moisture penetration issues from the rain flowing down the diagonal siding and hitting the window. On the exterior, it looked like it had been caulked and repainted multiple times.
Now, after that little color and moisture tour: next we will paint the walls, trim, and closet doors!
